If you are an angler that likes to combine a holiday with fishing, then why not consider a trip to the island of Alderney.
We currently do four and five day trips to this wonderful island several times a year and anglers can either charter the boat completely or join us on one of our indivual trips.

Alderney offers a unique experience, a relaxed and friendly venue, great hospitality and a chance to catch some fine fish.

Our trips to Alderney tend to be to target the turbot and brill that frequent the many banks around the island.  Turbot fishing can at times be slow, but it is a relaxing and a very enjoyable type of fishing.  For anglers that persevere, the reward is often a nice turbot or brill.  Such a catch would be a rare thing on our side of the channel.

If you are the kind of angler that expects to bag up on fish, then a trip to Alderney on board Tango Bravo is probably not for you.  We operate strict conservation measures because we recognise that species such as turbot and brill are more valuable in the sea, than out of it. These valuable fish play an important part in contributing  to the Islands econony by attracting more anglers to the Island to catch them.  Of course we do allow some fish to be kept for the table, but the minimum size limit that we use on Tango Bravo is 45cm.  That is 15cm greater than the Channel Islands own size limit and 3cm greater than the UK Mainland's minimum limit.  These conservation measures are important if good stocks are to be maintained for the future.  They are being voluntarily adopted by many of the UK based charter boats visiting Alderney
Alderney trips need to be planned well in advance as there is often a shortage of accommodation.  We already have B&B booked for 2007 in the St Annes Guest House, so if you would like to visit Alderney next year, then please get in touch with Steve Porter on 07967 598669.
