These pictures taken in mid April show the partly laid up hull moulding, which was scheduled to be joined a few days later.
This is the standard sized wheelhouse and part of the ring deck that will be fitted to True Blue. The wheelhouse will be lengthened to facilitate a toilet and shelter area with seating.
These pictures taken on the 16th May 2006, show the hull moulding bolted together just days before the hull is due to be released.
A view of the inside of the hull showing deck beams in place.
16th May 2006 I visited South Boats today and was pleased to see the hull almost complete. The hull will be released from the mould this week and floated accross the river at Cowes ready to be fitted out at South Boats western site. It does seem that the build is going to plan and delivery in December is still expected.
20th June 2006
Another visit to South Boats and my first view of the hull after being released from the mould. The pictures below give a good idea of just how large True Blue is.
4th September 2006
Todays trip up to Southboats confirmed that progress on True Blue was continuing at a reasonable pace. The wheelhouse is now fully assembled and will be put on the boat within the next two weeks. Most of the deck is now in place. Southboats still expect delivery of the boat to take place in December.

Another visit to Southboats, my last before December, but the first visit for my wife, Jill and daughter, Amy. Both came away impressed, and so they should be. Things are really moving at a pace on True Blue now. She is now second in line to go out the doors with the boat in front due for completion in November. Delivery of True Blue is still looking likely for December.
Capston pedestol and rope locker now complete
Starboard hull rudder assembly and the twin 697ltr fuel tanks ready to be fitted.
Console and helm position start to take shape.
